Lingering leg pain disturbing routine activities, bleeding gum, loss of energy, headaches in the early morning, vomiting, a whitish color behind the pupil, black-and-blue marks on the body even when following no injuries. Even to a parent or someone who is routinely around children and teenagers, some things do go unnoticed. An ordinary complaint or symptom in the daily life of the little ones can hide early symptoms of cancer, a condition which, at this age, has cure rates of up to 70%, if diagnosed in its early stages.
And to clear up any doubt, nothing beats the advice of a doctor. The earlier the cancer is diagnosed and properly treated, the higher the chances of cure. Motivated by the aim of raising public awareness, CONIACC (Brazil’s National Confederation of Institutions assisting Youth Cancer) launches its campaign ‘Unlikely Test”. The movie by Ogilvy Brazil integrates a series of initiatives for the Youth Cancer Awareness Day, on November the 23rd.
